Ms. Andrews' 2nd Grade Class
Technology in Our Classroom
In our classroom, we are trying to incorporate as much technology as possible. The technology we are using in the classroom has been specifically chosen to best benefit your students in learning our core content. You will find the three resources we are using in the classroom listed below. I hope that this newsletter will provide a clear idea of the tools we are using. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to stop by/volunteer in the classroom to see how these technology tools are benefiting your students and their learning!
Technology Resources in Room 2F!
Remind is a great app for teachers, parents, and students to communicate about school-related work and functions. Teachers can send reminders about field trips, projects, homework, tests, etc. to keep parents and students up-to-date!
Prodigy is an interactive math game. Students create their own wizard avatar and embark on a quest. On their journey, they encounter various wizard duels and challenges along the way. In order to continue their journey, students must correctly answer math questions. This is such a great resource to gets students engaged in math! Even better? The fun can continue at home! Just log in and continue your quest (and math practice) even outside of the classroom!
Kahoot! is a review tool that can be used to assess students' understanding of a topic in any subject area. Kahoot! presents reviewing material in the fun format of a team quiz or game-show. Students love the competition aspect of it, and teachers love the way it gets students engaged in their learning!
