Expo & Compo - We reviewed parallelism and discussed other, less obvious ways of using parallelism in their essays.
Science - The students read their essays on Copernicus, we introduced the timeline, and Johannes Kepler.
Announcements/Reminders!
Devotional - Ann will be leading our discussion on Thursday. Please see the Shutterfly calendar for the next section of James. Please have your daughter read the next section in advance.
Isaac Newton - Iliana will be introducing Isaac Newton to the class on Thursday!
Class Notes - I sent each student home with class notes. If you haven't seen them yet, please ask your daughter to show you. I was able to get out and purchase the sketchbooks for them to use beginning this week in class.
Pink folders - please remember to take a look at these. So far, I've been able to keep up with them in class. As of this week, week 3, I started ranking participation from 1-5. 5 being great and 1 needing a lot of improvement. Girls start getting tired around the 5th class of the day. At their request, I am going to switch some of the seminars around. Hopefully this will help with the class participation towards the end of the day. I'm also hoping that once the weather becomes a little more tolerable we will be able to go outside.
Have a blessed week!
