Reminders: Dec. 23 is a 12:30 release. No aftercare or afternoon bussing. No school Dec. 24-Jan. 3. School resumes Monday, Jan. 4.
From the Principal...
Hello Seton Community,
The Christmas break is quickly approaching. Please practice safety precautions so that your children are able to return to school on Jan. 4. If you are traveling internationally or are exposed to someone with COVID symptoms over the up-coming break, please keep your children home for 14 days before returning them to school. We need every family to work together to ensure that we are able to continue face to face after break.
Please note that Wednesday, December 23 is an early release day. Students will be dismissed at 12:30. There is no aftercare or afternoon bussing on early release days.
Also, I will be asking all staff to "shut off" their school emails this break so they can refresh and spend time with those they love. This school year has been challenging for all. Please honor their time and save emails and requests that come up during our break for January when we return to school.
Thank you for all you do to keep Seton Catholic face to face.
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, pray for us.
Sincerely,
Dr. Stephanie Nardi, Principal
Angels for Amira
Seton Catholic is planning to send Amira, one of our fifth grade students, an Army of Angels from her Seton Catholic Family and North Side Parishioners. Amira and her family are in need of our prayers. Kids or families can make an angel drawing, send an ornament, or any angel themed item. Please drop the angels off at Seton Catholic School or the Holy Name Parish Office. All angels need to be dropped off no later than December 22 so Amira can get them for Christmas.
2020 Annual Fund Drive
We are an incredibly blessed school community. Thank you to all who have donated to our 2020 Annual Fund Drive. With many generous donations, we have raised a total of $97,551 and well exceeded our goal of $30,000. We are especially grateful for a donation of $70,000 from one of our Parish members. Every dollar helps to support Catholic education at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Thank you.
Seton Faith Development Committee
This school year, the committee would like to begin work on the following three goals as determined by our Seton School Board.
1. With the assistance of our Faith Development Committee we will develop a comprehensive plan for faculty faith formation that includes at least one annual opportunity for retreat and and one annual opportunity for service by the end of the 2020-2021 academic year to begin in the 2021-2022 academic year.
2. With the assistance of our Faith Development Committee we will develop a plan for at least one student-led Mass at each of our three Northside Parishes to begin in the spring of 2021. (May need to be delayed until the fall of 2021.)
3. With the assistance of our Faith Development Committee we will explore at least three options for parent faith formation to begin in the 2021-2022 academic year.

COVID-19 Information
You may have heard in the news that the CDC has released options to reduce the length of COVID-19 quarantines. I have attached the Sheboygan County Recommendations for your review. Seton Catholic will be using those recommendations as listed below. We will maintain a 14 day quarantine as we are in a setting with many people and the potential for spread. Please be diligent with safety precautions as we are hoping to stay face to face for your children.
14 day no symptoms, no test option:
This is a 14-day quarantine from Seton School. The quarantine begins with the start of symptoms or the day of last contact with a positive case. The student can return to school without a doctor note after 14 days and if he/she has no symptoms. These days will be tracked in the office.
7 day no symptoms, negative test option:
Quarantine can end after day 7 of quarantine with a negative test and no symptoms if the test was taken no sooner than day 6 of the quarantine. The quarantine begins with the start of symptoms or day of last contact with a positive case. The student can return to school with a dated confirmation of a negative test and no symptoms. The days will be tracked in the school office.
Please note that household contacts are handled differently as noted on the recommendations below.
