We had an 87% attendance for our Parent/Teacher Conferences. Our teachers that have not had conferences yet want to talk to all parents. If you have not seen your child's teacher, please contact us so we can set up a time after school. By Friday, we want our percentage to be 100%. Our first grades and one second grade already has 100%. Some people came to see the 3rd and 4th grade teachers, but couldn't stay. Sometimes conferences take extra time-this same extra time will be given to you! Please take this one piece of advice from all of us-always make sure that as your child grows up that you stay very involved in their education and their lives. Some people think that as children get older they need their parents less. Actually-the older they get -the more involved you need to become. Teenagers act like they don't want their parents around, but they really want the opposite. We are all busy-but don't ever be too busy to check on your child's progress! Give us a call and thanks to everyone that has already been here.

Our PTO meeting will be today at 6:00. We will be discussing our by-laws and other important topics. We would love to have you join us.

Valentine's Day parties will be Friday, February 10th. Information has been sent home. If you need more information-please contact your child's teacher.

On Monday, February 13th, we will have a Dental Health program from Caring Hands.

On Tuesday, February 14th, Miss McAlester will visit us at 2:15. She will be talking to us about kindness. This will be a perfect Valentine's Day message.

Our 3rd & 4th graders are really working hard to be prepared for their big test in April. Please make every effort to be to school on time with homework finished ready to work and learn. We need your support for them and we need you to make sure all 1st & 2nd graders are reading and developing responsible school habits as well. Thanks for all of your help and encouragement. We are successful because of our wonderful family support.

Everyone that had their AR points loved our picnic and our trip to the park. The weather was beautiful and fun was had by all. Please encourage your child to read for 20 minutes daily. Who knows what fun we will have at our next AR party!
