Shark culling

Although sharks are terrifying shark bites are actually really rare.

Only 7 people have died in western Australia for the past 3 years.

The rest of Australia doesn't even come close to that number combined so the WA government had to do something to catch down those sea giants.

To do that they had set no go zones, with the area surrounded by these special hooks called bated drum line hooks and if any shark go's in the no go zone they can be caught and killed.

MEGALODON SHARK

The Megalodon Giant Shark is an awesome and majestic creature that belonged to the Cenozoic Era - that's the period which existed about 1.5 million years ago. Since this shark became extinct (we think!) long ago, there have been no proven reports of a Megalodon (although there have been lots of unverified reports).
