Principal's Message
The point being, it's not too early in 6th grade to be talking with your student about college and/or careers. While it's possible the job that we're preparing your child for today doesn't exist when he or she becomes an adult, it's important to be having those conversations.
We do our best to engage students in college and career discussions. But as your student is preparing to select electives in the next months, talk to them about their interests. Junior high is a great opportunity to let them explore. Encourage them to try something new as well as something they know they like.
We will be doing more college and career conversations over the course of the year. I encourage you to be having those conversations right along with us.
