1. How long have you been a communication aide/interpreter at Jefferson Elementary? I started on January 21, 2020. Almost a month!
2. What inspired you to become a communication aide/interpreter? I love connecting with deaf children and I want to help them learn sign language through their learning development.
3. What is one of your hidden talents? I am good at reading people's body language and picking up vibes.
4. Do you have any pets? If so, what kind? I have a Boston Terrier!
5. How do you spend summer breaks? I love spending time with my family and babysitting my nieces and nephew. I go to Crossroads Church in Belton, Texas. I like to relax at home, watch Netflix, and cook.
6. What is your favorite food from the school cafeteria? I don't eat food from the cafeteria. I bring my own lunch. My favorite food is pizza from MOD!
7. What is the best thing about being a communication aide/interpreter? The best thing about being a communication aide/interpreter is when my student is trying to communicate with me using the new words he has been learning.
8. What is your favorite memory from interpreting at Jefferson Elementary? The student I work with recently said something in a using sign language in a full sentence. It felt like the child was speaking for the first time. I was so proud of him!
