Leeds SCITT Newsletter
Winter 2018 - Number 6
Welcome to the Leeds SCITT Newsletter
Welcome to our final Leeds SCITT Newsletter for this year! This week we want you to reflect on your journey so far on Leeds SCITT. Think about where you were in September and how far you have come with your teaching, the friends you have made and the positive impact you are beginning to have on the young lives of those pupils you are teaching. You may think you have still got a long way to go, to be the 'outstanding practitioner' you are all capable of becoming, but remember it is so important to reflect on your achievements and think about what areas of your teaching you will focus on in the new year. I hope you enjoy this newsletter.

Wellbeing Day at Titus Salt School
The Wellbeing Day was tailored to allow, all to reflect on the following questions:
1. How do we make sure we look after ourselves in the following ways: physically, socially, mentally and spiritually, so we are happy in ourselves, our teaching and outcomes are positive?
2. What are you going to do or change from today's session to help you with your health and general wellbeing?
During our day at Titus Salt School, we tried to address these questions and discussed some practical ways as well as trialling some of these ideas on how we can to stay healthy, mentally and physically so we can be at, our very best.
Here are some pictures and feedback from the day. Unfortunately we do not have any pictures from Sharon's yoga / meditation session.
Enjoy!

Top Tip from the Wellbeing Day.
Don't forget the compulsory CBT Day at LTU - 4th January
Please refer to the email I sent earlier this week with the agenda for the day. However, we will be revisiting Mindfulness that we experienced in the Wellbeing Day and learning about the teenage brain. We will have a session from Cassie and the team on writing CVs and interview techniques and you will have time to plan collaboratively with your peers. So please remember to bring your lesson planning resources to help you plan together and share good practice.
