Checks and balances were created by the framers of constitution. It allows each branch of government to limit the powers of the other two branches
How does the checks and balances gives the branches power?
Checks allow one branch to block the actions of another branch. Congress can check the president`s power by overriding the veto by a two-thirds majority vote. Balances allow each branch of the government to have some role in the actions and power of the other branches.
