Principal's Message
I look at the calendar and am surprised to see it's already November, but I am excited the holiday season is upon us. Being principal has made me realize how grateful I am for the support here at Taylor Middle School. I'm talking about the support from YOU. Taylor would not be what it is without support from parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, etc. It takes a partnership between school and home to make children successful. It takes patience, understanding and communication to support your child take on new challenges that we did not have to face at their age. As the Warriors say, we are "Stronger Together". I thank you and appreciate your support with all students at Taylor.
Some October successes:
- A visit from the Mayor of Hanyu, Japan, Millbrae's Friendship City
- A professional development day for teachers
- Outdoor Ed. where some students spent their first nights away from home without parents
- Practicing a Duck, Cover & Hold On drill for the Great California Shake Out
- A Halloween dance attended by 371 students.
On the horizon is the amazing 8th grade trip, "Sojourn to the Past", the end of Trimester 1, and time off for Thanksgiving. I ask that you help your child slow down and enjoy a few days away from school.
I am here to support all of you. If there is anything you need or feedback you'd like to share, please reach out.

We are still working towards our goal of raising enough funds to replace outdated projectors and old televisions in twenty classrooms. Please help out if you haven't made a donation yet!
As of 11/02/18, parents of 125 Taylor students have made donations to the PTA. That makes up only 13% of Taylor students whose parents have donated to our cause. We know there are more supportive Taylor families out there!
Participation by grade level:
Sixth grade: 20% of parents have donated
Seventh grade: 13% of parents have donated
Eighth grade: 13% of parents have donated
The Good Eggs fundraiser is going on for one more month, through November 30, 2018! We are very close to earning the $500 bonus -- we just need five more new families to join and place an order! And don't forget, 5% of grocery purchases get donated to our school! Just use the code "TaylorMiddle" when you place your first order at schools.goodeggs.com.
We have a new and improved website! Please visit www.millbraetaylorpta.org.
Upcoming events:
- Taylor PTA Association Meeting on Monday, November 5 at 7 pm at Taylor Library. Special speakers: Mills High School Principal Duszkynski and Mills guests. Light refreshments will be served.
- Principal's Coffee on Friday, November 9 at 8:30 am at Taylor Library.
Help us get ready for the biggest party of the year! Please email gala@millbraekids.org if you'd like to join the Gala planning committee, even if it's for just a few minutes per week or month.
Know an organization that might want to sponsor MEF (or donate an auction item)? Please help us out by giving them the linked Sponsorship Information!
