Aloha Kindergarten and 6th Grade Coyotes!

Get ready to send some of our Coyotes off to a new adventure. Drive-through promotion ceremonies will be held on June 8th for both our Kindy Coyotes and our 6th graders. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, families will need to remain in their cars until their turn to get out and take pictures. Don't forget your masks! We will be taking pictures with a Hawaiian back drop. Families will drive through and pull up to the office entrance, take pictures, pick up promotion certificate, and say goodbye.

Our Kindy Coyotes will drive through be 8:00a - 11:00a on June 8, 2021.

Sixth graders, who will be leaving Landers Elementary, will have their opportunity in the spotlight from 1:00p - 4:00p June 8, 2021.

Summer School Survey

Have you taken the district survey about summer school? Click on the coyote below to let us know if your student will be attending our summer expanded learning program. Students can attend any or all pf the 5 weeks of fun learning. Each child should have a survey filled out for our records. Check out the schedule below...

All surveys must be completed by May 28th, but the sooner the better as we are trying to finalize our plans for teachers.

CA Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS)

Hey Parents! The CA Healthy Kids Survey is back! Beginning May 17th, through June 3rd, all parents are being asked to complete the CHKS for our site. No matter what grade your child is in, we want your input. We are in competition with other schools to get the most parent participation! This anonymous survey will help us determine safe practices for our students here at Landers Elementary.

Here is the link for the parent survey:

Don't feel left out 5th graders! We need your honest input as well! This survey helps determine ways to make Landers Elementary School a safe place to be. We need parent permission in order to complete the survey, so be on the lookout for your permission slip, or a phone call, to get your parent permission.

Site-Based Management Meeting

So our Site-Based Management Team is looking for a few parents to step up and join. We have meetings once a month to discuss our school and how we can all work together to support being the best school we can be. Please submit your name if you think you are interested, or talk to your friends and have them submit their names for our ballot We will have an election in early June so we can shore up our team before the start of next year! Thank you for your consideration!

Items for discussion at our meetings include:

  • Spending - What activities to fund such as assemblies, family events etc...We are in charge of Federal and State money given to our school to use for the students.

  • Working with other community members and parents, as well as staff, on making the school year the best. Membership is a minimum of a two-year requirement, and you may be fortunate enough to serve many years with our site.
