WALK FOR WATER
Join the local community as we support a global cause. Around the world, millions of people lack access to clean water. In fact, every 2 minutes, a child dies from water related diseases. As a community, we want to help change this!
Join us on Saturday, May 11 from 12-3 PM at the Mounds View High School Track for an afternoon of community bonding, prizes, local snacks, and a group walk!
Participants are challenged to carry water as they walk in order to simulate the water collection process that many people worldwide have to do through every day. Our walk will increase awareness about the Global Water Crisis, and raise money to build a water well for 763 young school children in Uganda who currently have no access to clean water. To learn more, donate, or register for the walk, visit https://www.moundsviewdeca.org/walk-for-water. Let’s come together, have fun, and make a difference! See you there!
WANT MORE INFORMATION?
Are you interested in learning more about the Global Water Crisis? Please come to an informational movie night in the Mounds View High School Auditorium at 6:30pm on May 7th.
