Veterans Day November 11, 2020
Due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic the annual Columbia River High School Veterans Day concert and observance has been cancelled. Though we will not come together as a group to honor those who have served our country in the armed forces it is hoped that the resources listed below will allow the River community to reflect on the history of those who have worn the nation’s uniform, and on the nature and meaning of that service.
Additionally there is an opportunity for those students who are participating in the Native American Heritage Month Project to combine these two events and focus their project on Native American Veterans.

River Athletics
Per WIAA and Department of Health guidelines, we are allowed to increase the size of the ‘pods’ that can get together. Pods of six athletes and one coach can get together in locations such as River’s small gym and weight room. Multiple pods can gather on the fields and in J. Hoover Gym. We are still following our previous protocols: athletes must wear masks, have their temperatures checked before joining workouts, and stay six feet apart. For more detailed information about our protocols, here are the COVID Workout Guidelines.
If you would like more information click here to get in contact with our Coaches: Head Coach Contact Information.

Kick Off to CAS
On October 17th a large group of Juniors representing the Full International Baccalaureate participated in the 'Kickoff to CAS' at Heritage Farms. CAS is requirement for the Full IB DP. Students participate in a variety of projects outside their very busy (and full) schedules to fulfill the 21 learning outcomes for Creativity, Action and Services outlined by the IBO. In this photo, River students gathered after three hours of various activities which included harvesting and cleaning up for the the Clark County Foodbank at Heritage Farms. Mrs. Young and Mr. Burton are the faculty supervisors. Thank you to our students to your efforts and representing the River community so well!
