RHMS Community Newsletter

October 26, 2021

Hello Families!

It is hard to believe October is going by so quickly. We are now in the midst of spirit week and it has been great fun to see students dressed in their house colors and discussing outfits to wear for the rest of the week. Upcoming days are:

  • Wednesday: Formal Day
  • Thursday: Anything but a Backpack Day.
  • Friday: Costume Day

In addition, we are now two weeks away from the end of quarter one. This week is a great time to check in with students about their progress and find out how they are feeling about classes and assignments. We are using time in Houses to do the same thing in the hopes that all students finish the quarter strong.

Upcoming Parent Teacher Association (PTA) NMeeting

  • We have our first RHMS PTA meeting of the year on Tuesday, October 26th from 6:30-8:00 PM

SAVE THE DATE-SCHOOL Parent/Teacher Conferences: November 22nd and November 23

Fall conferences will take place virtually on November 22nd and 23rd. Meeting spots will be for 10 minutes with individual teachers. Conferences will run from 8:30 am to 8:15 pm. Look for specific sign up information next month. In the mean time, we encourage you to talk with your student about their academic progress and make a plan to meet with teachers.

Locker Update

We were told that lockers would be installed on October 8. It seems likely that there continue to be supply chain and labor problems. We will let you know as soon as we have more information.

PPS District Looking for Feedback

PPS wants to hear from students as we consider a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for students 12 and up. Students may visit pps.net/contact to let us know your opinion, or how day-to-day life at school would be with a potential mandate.
