USD 469 Families,
School time is right around the corner. This school year will definitely be memorable. We are looking forward to the challenge of educating our students in new and innovative ways. School will not look the same as it has in the past. When we reopen schools on September 9, it will not look like school from December 2019. We have been hard at work on our plans to have student In-Person and have created a Remote Learning Task Force at each school.
Please take a moment to complete registration for your child. We will be contacting those that have not declared In-Person or Remote learning this coming week. We need that information to plan for the coming year.
I wanted to mention one note from the plan that has needed clarifying over the last week. If you choose In-Person learning and your comfort level or family circumstance changes, you can move to Remote Learning. Once you move to remote learning, we will expect you to stay with that choice for the semester. We are looking at dedicating staff to remote learning throughout the semester and that was the only way we could effectively plan for that scenario.
ROARS Plan Approved
The Lansing School Board Approved our ROARS plan on July 30, 2020. The initial plan that was approved can be found below. The plans will be continually updated as it is definitely a living document.
The Schools have updated the building plans to include more details about the in-person 4-1 model and what remote learning will look like. Those additional documents can also be found below.
The last document below are the assurances that we have to agree to with KSDE to offer a remote learning option for our students.
