Senior Presentation for Families of class of 2021
This past week, Mr. Barry and Mr. Bowes met with parents of the Class of 2021 virtually to discuss the college application process. Topics that were discussed included: Naviance, Common Application, creating a list of schools, types of admissions, letters of recommendation, financial aid (FAFSA and MEFA), and scholarships.
Please take a look at the slides that were presented and reach out to either of them for questions or if you want to schedule an appointment.
SCHOOL COUNCIL
The Leicester High School Council is a committee of administrators, parents, teachers, and community members working together to promote the well-being and effectiveness of the school community with the goal of improving student outcomes. We are currently looking for 3-5 parent members and 2 students. If you are interested in serving on the committee please email Ms. Kenny by October 9th. Our first virtual meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 27th from 5:00-6:00.
Student Drivers
Student parking will continue to be free again this year. Students must obtain a parking pass through the main office or during all 4 lunches this week.

Masks would have to be worn. Duties would include stocking products,
making boxes of items for delivery, ( in teams of two/ three), and
helping shoppers with their grocery shopping. So they will be in
contact with other people. Hand sanitizer would be required before
and after each customer. This would be similar to the previous
years, but with more space in between each customer.
SPORTS ....SPORTS.....SPORTS
At this time, Leicester will limit spectators to 50 at home contests. Each team member will be given a spectator pass that they can give to their family for entrance into contests. Please remember that one pass equals one guest. Also, all spectators will be asked to provide contact tracing information.
The MIAA has approved and published Fall 1 sport modifications. They can be found here.

SENIOR PORTRAITS Class of 2021
It is essential that all senior portraits are taken and submitted by October 16th, 2020. The Leicester High School yearbook staff is requesting that you consider making your senior portrait appointments with Casson-Foster Photographers of Auburn.

Free breakfast and lunch for everyone until December. Students must present their student ID card. Families that may qualify for either free or reduced lunch are encouraged to apply so that the benefit may continue after December 31st and qualification may entitle students for reductions to school associated fees.
GUIDANCE CORNER
Daily College Financing Webinars for Families
Beginning Monday, September 28th through Thursday, November 5th, MEFA will host a live College Financing webinar for students and families daily every Monday through Thursday, with daytime and evening hours. All webinars will be recorded and available online for families who are unable to attend a live event. Their webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of the full financial aid application process. Presenters will include MEFA staff members as well as guests from financial aid offices across the Commonwealth, providing families the opportunity to hear from many of the most knowledgeable financial aid leaders in the industry.
