Robert Hunter Report
Feb. 6, 2022
Feb. 6, 2022
Dear Robert Hunter families,
We had another great week at RH, and a highlight was certainly Global Play Day! Children learn so much through play - including social skills, imagination, and creativity. We encourage you to make time at home for your child to have unstructured play time to build these skills.
February 1st was the start of Black History Month. Throughout the year, your children will continue to learn and hear about the many diverse cultures and people who make up our community and our world.
This upcoming week is School Counselor appreciation week. We want to extend our appreciation to our wonderful school counselors, Ms. Fontanez and Ms. Severino! We are grateful to have them supporting our school community!
As a reminder, yearbooks are on sale from our PTO. The yearbook committee has been working hard to put together another great yearbook. Please see the flyer below!
We hope to see many families at our upcoming virtual BINGO event this upcoming Friday! See details below!
Enjoy the weekend!
Mrs. Glaab and Mrs. Braynor

Now that we are back in the “Orange,” we are able to have visitors in the building. If homeroom parents would like to arrange in-person activities for Valentine’s Day celebrations, please connect with the classroom teacher to discuss plans.
If students are bringing in Valentine’s Day cards to school, they should bring in cards for every child in the classroom. Candy should not be brought into school per our district’s wellness policy.
A Note from our School Nurse, Mrs. Cunniff
Hi Parents! With more or us using at home COVID testing kits, please remember to report any positive results to your child’s pediatrician. This is important from a medical history perspective in order for the physicians to provide thorough care for your child. Thanks!
As a reminder, breakfast is available to all students at no cost. Students need to go to the cafeteria immediately after exiting the bus or being dropped off to get breakfast. Please note that breakfast will NOT be served on delayed opening days.
Spirit Day - Feb. 11
Family Winter STEM Challenge!
Those of you who were at RH last year probably remember the STEM igloo challenge. This year, we have a new family challenge - thank you Mrs. Cinquemani for organizing it! In this challenge, you will need to get a marble into a cup without a human touching the marble.
Please see the flyer HERE to learn more about our challenge and to participate with your child.
Marbles will be provided - courtesy of our PTO. Those of you who successfully complete the challenge will be featured on our Robert Hunter STEM Challenge Hall of Fame!
We hope you will consider trying out this challenge with your children!
Deadline is extended to Feb. 25th!
