Device, Materials, and Library Book Return for DIGITAL STUDENTS

This section is for DIGITAL STUDENTS regarding return of Corley resources including technology, classroom textbooks and materials, and library books.

Parents and Guardians,

If your student has a school-owned Chromebook, laptop, hot spot, or other device, please plan to return the device on one of the designated dates and time listed below.

May 26th 10am-11am or 1pm-2pm

May 27th 9-11am

When returning your device, please bring the device, charger, and hotspot if you have one. Make sure you have the device fully charged and powered on.

Devices will be assessed for damage upon return and fines may be assigned based on the damage in order to cover the cost of replacement parts and repairs. Fines can be paid by credit or debit card, cash, or check at the time of the return. If a device is returned in good condition, no fine will be assigned. Students who do not pay fines will not be able to check out devices until fines are cleared.

If a student needs a device for summer learning, the school will work with you to provide a device. We're excited to see you!

Media Center Update

Parents,

Please take a moment to look for any books your child has checked out of the media center. If you're not sure what he/she has checked out, please ask your student to look in their Destiny account. All books were due on May 19th. Books that have been marked lost will show in MyPaymentPlus.

Payments can be made in MyPaymentPlus or you can send the fee to the school with your student or bring it yourself.

5th Grade Celebration

We are delighted to be able to celebrate the achievements of our grade students as they transition to middle school. The 5th Grade Celebration will begin promptly on Tuesday, May 25th at 6:00 pm in the Berkmar High School Gym. Due to social distancing guidelines, only 5th grade parents are invited and tickets are strictly enforced, three tickets per student.

Balloons are NOT allowed in the gym. Anyone who brings balloons, will be asked to return them to your car, prior to entering.

Sincerely,

5th Grade Teachers

We are excited to announce the GASP! program will be offered at Corley Elementary next year. Spots are limited so parents need to sign up in advance. Please see the flyer below.

After you have completed online registration, you will schedule an appointment, https://ptcfast.com/schools/Corley_Elementary , with your child’s new school to verify information, complete a kindergarten readiness profile, pick up materials to help prepare your child for school, and learn about exciting summer enrichment opportunities for your new kindergartner!

All required documents must be uploaded prior to submitting your online registration. The required documents include:

Reminder about Student Checkout Procedures

A parent or authorized contact must contact the Front Office at 678-924-5330 office 30-45 minutes prior to arriving at the school. Office staff will verify authorization to prevent delays upon arrival. Student will be called from class once the parent/contact has arrived, and ID has been verified.

Calling ahead reduces wait time and allow us to complete the checkout process in a timely manner.

Teachers are not allowed to accept Class Dojo messages for checkout purposes. For security reasons, all dismissals must go through the Front Office.
