Weekly Wrap Up
Maple Place Middle School 9/9/2022
Principal's Message
Dear Maple Place Families,
Our first week of school flew by! For me, as the new principal, it was fantastic to have the faculty, staff and students back, filling the school with lessons and laughter. Our new furniture for the classrooms in the back hallway arrived after school on Tuesday, and our custodial crew worked into the night to ensure that the classrooms were looking pristine for the students and staff on Wednesday morning!
The end of this week brought about try-outs for our fall sports including Girls & Boys Soccer as well as Field Hockey. Try-outs will continue early next week, and shortly thereafter, the teams will be finalized and practices and games will begin. I'm looking forward to cheering on our Maple Place Chargers as they embark on a new sports' season!
Today Maple Place recognized the events of September 11th, 2001 and Patriot Day by wearing red, white, and blue to show our patriotism. For those of you who were affected by this tragedy, please accept our deepest sympathy and know that our thoughts will be with you and yours this weekend as we remember those who were lost.
Next week will be a busy one as you will see below with Back to School Night, our first PTO meeting of the year, and the start to our Fall Sports' season. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Melissa Keiser

Arrival & Dismissal Reminders:
There are just a few reminders for arrival and dismissal that we ask you to assist us with in an effort to keep our students as safe as possible.
- If you are dropping off or picking your child up by car, please be sure to pull into the bus loop. Students should not be entering or exiting the vehicles in the street and making their way across the bustling parking lot.
- When you are dropping off or picking up your student(s), please pull down as far as possible into the bus loop. This will help us to get more cars into the parking lot and reduce traffic on the surrounding streets.
- Please use caution in the parking lot when pulling around other vehicles. There are many students who ride bikes or walk to and from school who you may encounter as you move through the parking lot and into the streets beyond.
- Bike riders must wear a bike helmet as is mandated by New Jersey law.
- Please remind the students to adhere to all directions provided by the crossing guards.
