End of Year Celebration
It has been an extremely busy year, but we have finally made it to the end of the school year! We are excited to celebrate the closing of the first year in our new building. With that, we have some celebrations planned for our students next week.
At RMS, our school-wide behavior expectations are based on PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports). These expectations are built on the slogans of We “R” Accepting, We “R” Responsible, We “R” Engaged, and Be Romeo. This year, we are introducing the “R” Awards based on these expectations, and we are excited for this new tradition. Teachers have nominated students from their teams for these awards. Teams will host celebrations next week to award those who were nominated in each category. These celebrations will also be streamed through a Google Meet for our online students to take part in. Additionally, we will release a recording of these celebrations to our parents. “R” Awards will take place on Monday, June 7th, for sixth and seventh grade & Wednesday, June 9th, for eighth grade.
To celebrate our students and the hard work they’ve put in this school year, we have activities planned for each grade level. These activities include various stations for our students to rotate through. Students will participate in a range of activities from games, signing yearbooks, to music from Kenny Spear. We also have some special send offs planned for our 8th graders.
Activity Days will happen on Tuesday, June 8th, for grades 6th and 7th and Thursday, June 10th, for our 8th grade students.
8th Grade Clap Out
On our last day of school, we will send off the 8th graders with our traditional “clap out”.
We are excited for these upcoming celebrations!
