NATSTUCO CONFERENCE

The 2020 National Student Council conference was held virtually from July 22nd to the 24th. This year, 102 delegates from Georgia attended NatStuCo which was the most we've ever had! These delegates learned so much about leadership and can't wait to take these lessons to the real world.

"Nationals was such a great experience, especially since it was online, I was given the opportunity to meet so many amazing people and see so many amazing speakers that I would’ve not been able to see before! It’s a curriculum that was shifted to address social issues that were especially important and extremely commendable, and I’m honored to have been able to experience it!"

Nkosi Nesmith-Nelson, GASC President (Grayson Highschool)

GASC BLAST 2020

GASC BLAST shifted to a virtual platform this year because of COVID - 19. Although the virtual platform is not the same as an in-person experience, virtual BLAST 2020 delivered the same powerful curriculum at a price most could afford. We had 105 students attend which was the highest attendance we've ever had! We also welcomed back Aric Jackson and Generation Leadership to work with us.

"BLAST! was a truly eye-opening experience. Learning about what makes us different is what brings us together to make a difference was a life-changing lesson. Aric made us all feel welcome and heard and got the message across. BLAST! is an opportunity that no GASC student should miss."

Srishti Sood, GASC Middle School Member At Large (North Gwinnett Middle School)

“BLAST 2020 was truly one for the books! Albeit virtual, it was an eye-opening experience for me and how I viewed not only leadership, but life. As a first time attendee, and JC, I was very nervous coming into it, but I soon realized there was no need for me, or anyone else, to be nervous. It’s a fantastic environment for anyone to step out of their comfort zone and learn more about how they can better lead others. I will never forget this camp and I hope all members of GASC can attend this once-in-a-lifetime experience.“

Rohit Jivangikar, GASC Parlimentarian (Alpharetta High School)
