Cordelia Hills Update

5/28/2019

Message from the Principal

Welcome back. We are excited for these final nine days of the school year. State testing is completely done and most classrooms are wrapping up MAP testing in the next couple of days. Our students have worked hard this year and we want to have a strong end of year to set some momentum into 2019-2020. Thank you for getting students to school, on-time each day. We appreciate it.

Also, a reminder. As the days start to warm, we find more students walking and biking to school. Please remind your student about walking to school safety, including not talking to strangers, using crosswalks, and staying on sidewalks. We appreciate your help in keeping all of our students safe!

Back GATE reminders: Thank you for making sure you are only accessing the back gate if you are walking to school.

District Calendar: The 2019-2020 calendar is out. PLEASE NOTE that the start day is later this year. Check it out here. Please do your best to plan vacations, appointments, times away from school around the school calendar. We need every student here everyday that they are healthy.

5th Grade Farewell Celebration

Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District celebrates 5th graders at each site with a farewell celebration. Cordelia Hills will host the 2019 Fifth Grade Farewell for our 5th graders on Friday, June 7th at approximately 10:45. The event starts in the MPR. We ask that each family have no more than two family members in attendance as it is limited space. Please note that this isn't a promotion/graduation but it is a farewell to mark the six years that our students have traveled through elementary school.

If you are a fifth grade parent, we welcome you to submit photos to stevetr@fsusd.org for our end of year slideshow. Please note that the photos have to be of more than one student. In other words, we are looking for group photos of our fifth grade students this year and over the last few years.
