Many Hands, One Mason!

October 22, 2018

Dear Mason Families,

Happy Sunday! I can't thank everyone enough for helping us reach our Fun Run goal this year! Your generosity will allow our students to reach for the stars in ways that wouldn't have been possible without your support! Our Mason community is the best and I hope everyone will stop by Mason Friday night as I camp outside for the first time ever!!

Please know that we still celebrate birthdays at Mason, we just don't allow birthday treats (food) due to allergy concerns! If you have an alternative way you would like to celebrate your child(ren)'s birthday, please connect with your child(ren)'s teacher to discuss this in greater detail. Thanks for keeping our school safe and continuing to make birthdays at Mason special.

Thanks,

Roy

October PBIS - Classroom Behavior

Classroom Behavior- We are focusing on following directions and doing our best in the classroom. Our motto is to do your best and forget the rest!! Please discuss with your child at home what it truly means to Be a Leader, Be a Learner and Be Kind in the classroom.

October's Character Word of the Month: Commitment- Taking responsibility for making yourself and community better everyday.

OCTOBER Focus Points

LIM Focus for the month of October: Begin with the End in Mind

Begin With the End in Mind means to think about how you would like something to turn out before it getting it started.

October's Character Word of the Month: Commitment- Taking responsibility for making yourself and community better everyday.

Weather Update:

As the weather starts changing, it is imperative that our learners have coats, hats and gloves at all times when they go outside. If your child needs any cold weather items, please don't hesitate to let the front office know and we will make sure they get exactly what they need.

Student Illness:

We are doing everything we can to make sure our students are safe at Mason but we need your help. Please make sure your child is fever free for at least 24 hours before they return to school. If your child has an illness that is contagious and puts other students at risk, it is mandatory that you report it to the office so the proper measures can be taken.

Many Hands, Many Desserts

Mark your calendars for our First Ever... Many Hands, Many Desserts Night presented by our Mason Parent Group!!!

We are excited to announce that Nov. 10th from 3-5 pm will be our first Many Hands, Many Desserts Event at Mason where we will be focusing on learning more about each other as a community. We will have performers, games, speakers and opportunities to connect with the Mason Community. More information will be coming out soon but please mark this event on your calendars as it will be an event you won't want to miss. Please begin thinking about a game, desert or anything else your family would be willing to share with the Mason community; we will definitely need your support to make this a great experience for our learners. Flyers asking for participation will start coming home this week!
