Seneca Waterways Exploring Program

Exploring is a way for 9th-12th grade students to check out a career that interests them. It is a career-education program that helps students learn more about a particular career or industry through hands-on activities and skill building activities led by people out in the field.

Students and their parents should attend a joining event to learn more. You can reserve a spot at a joining event or learn more information by contacting Brad Rickman at Bradley.Rickman@Scouting.org. Feel free to contact Tracy O'Hara, Career Pathways Counselor at tohara@williamsoncentral.org with questions also.

Upcoming Open Houses include:

Careers in Music Workshops

This year, the Eastman Community Music School and the Eastman School of Music are excited to be presenting a series of FREE workshops for high school students interested in majoring or minoring in music during college.

Sophomores and juniors, and their parents, are invited to come and learn the ins and outs of applying to music school and planning for a career in music from Eastman's professional Admissions, Career Advising, and Financial Aid staff.

All three workshops are scheduled for Sundays from 11am - 12:30pm in the Karen Rettner Community Music Center at 10 Gibbs Street in Rochester.

Counselor - Student Meetings

School Counselors, Ms. Schillaci and Mrs. Zimmerman have been busy meeting with students since the beginning of the school year. During the first couple weeks of school, students sought out assistance with schedule changes. Next, counselors met with all freshmen during small group lunches. This gave the counselors a chance to see how the 9th graders are transitioning to life in the high school and allowed students to ask any questions they might have. Now, the counselors will start Senior Meetings. They will meet with 12th graders individually to begin discussing post-graduation plans. It's been a great start to the school year!
