WHEN YOU DONATE 10 CANS TO YOUR FIRST PERIOD CLASS YOU WILL RECEIVE AN OUT OF DRESS BAND FOR a day in DECEMBER.

WHEN YOU DONATE 20 CANS YOU WILL RECEIVE THE OUT OF DRESS BAND AND DRAWING FOR PRINCIPAL FOR A DAY IN DECEMBER.

The book fair is coming to Stripling! The book fair will be held in the library from Nov. 7th to Nov. 13th from 8:50-4:00. We will have books, bookmarks, and posters for sale. Students will have multiple opportunities to visit the book fair throughout the week, and parents can come shop before the academic pep rally on the 10th. If you are interested in having your child be a part of the After-School program, we have had few spots open up! Have your child see Ms. Walker in room #114 for a flyer! We do lots of fun activities. Programming is Tuesday - Thursday from 4:30 - 6:20.

Hey from the PTA!

🎃 COLLEGE TALK & PUMPKINS: Calling all students! Anyone can paint a pumpkin and talk about colleges with Ms. Beardsley on Monday, October 30th over all 3 lunches. Check it out in the Go Center or the Courtyard (if the weather is good).

📷 FAMILY FUN NIGHT: Stripling is planning a Family Fun Night on Friday, November 17 and 8th Graders will be setting up a photobooth to raise money for their 8th Grade Party in the spring! Mark your calendars.

🌳 BEAUTIFICATION: Save the date for Saturday, November 18 for our fall Stripling Beautification Day. This is a perfect chance to get your NJHS hours, students! Parents, neighbors, friends, kids, everyone can join. We help clean up around the exterior of the campus. Stay tuned for times.

🚌 8TH GRADE FIELD TRIP: There are a few spots left to volunteer! Friday, November 17 from 9:30am - 1:15pm. She will take all of the 8th graders on a tour of the FWISD high schools! VOLUNTEER SIGNUP HERE

💡SPOTLIGHT: About a month away from our big Fine Arts Fundraiser... SPOTLIGHT!!! Choir, orchestra and band will be performing that night, the art department will be hosting face painting and showcasing their recent work, and all fine arts groups will be raising funds to support their programs. What's on the list of needed items this year? Auditorium sound system and AV upgrades, instrument repairs, competition entry fees, art supplies, uniforms, and more. PTA will be selling raffle tickets in November for a chance to win Olivia Rodrigo tickets, AirPods, Stanley's and more. Students MUST be present at the Spotlight drawing Dec 1st to win.

A few reminders about dropping off students in the mornings:

• If you are parking and waiting to drop your student off, please pull down closer to the football field, this allows space for parents who dropping off and leaving a space to pull up to do so.
• If dropping off going North on Clover, you must pull down the side street - there is no drop off in the crosswalk for the safety of students.

Remember attendance matters EVERY period. Please send a note when your student is absent. You can email the notes to abigail.blanco@fwisd.org.
