END OF YEAR PDP and SUMMATIVE EVALUATION/CONFERENCE INFORMATION - All PDPs/Summatives are due by Monday afternoon if not already submitted
We are currently scheduling end of year conferences. If you have not shared your digital planbook with Ms. Fricke, please do so. If you elected not to use digital planbooks this year, please bring your lesson plan book to your conference. The following information was sent out regarding PDPs and Summative Conferences...
- End of Year PDPs and Summative Data Artifact Sheets were due Monday, April 8, 2019 for Beginning teachers and on Monday, April 22, 2019 for all other teachers. If you have not completed both, please plan to do so by the end of school Monday.
- To complete the PDP, reference your mid-year PDP goals and enter comments about what you did/didn't do to meet those goals. Be sure to reference any Global courses that you completed. Be sure to mark your work "complete" and that you have a "green check" when you are finished.
- Please email your Summative Data Artifact Sheet to Lara at (lfricke@wcpss.net.) You can find this document at the link below the PUE Master Folder. If you have trouble accessing it or need help, please let me know. The document is editable- which means someone can alter it by accident. So, please COPY it before you enter text. IF YOU HAVE A GOOGLE LINK TO YOUR WORK that you would like to include on the document, please put the link on the top of the document. Sharing a google file is a great way to include pictures and large data files. If you do so, remember that pictures without comments or information about how the activity relates to the standards is not clear evidence. PUE Special Ed Intern to Sing with North Carolina Master Chorale
Sara Fontes, our Special Education intern will be singing as a part of the North Carolina Master Chorale’s production of Rachmaninoff’s Vespers. As one of the major choral organizations of the Southeast, the North Carolina Master Chorale has been performing choral-orchestral masterworks for more than 75 years. Under the direction of Alfred E. Sturgis since 1993, the Master Chorale presents a diverse repertoire from the Renaissance to Contemporary with ensembles ranging from 16-voices to 170-voices. Our singers, selected by audition, bring a collective wealth of training and experience. In 2015, the Master Chorale was named Resident Chorus of the North Carolina Symphony. Founded as the Raleigh Oratorio Society in 1942, Master Chorale has evolved into a major regional performing arts group that works with over 250 artist-musicians each season, reaching an annual audience of over 10,000 choral arts enthusiasts.
Saturday, April 27 2019, the North Carolina Master Chorale will be performing Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Vespers (All-Night Vigil). Rachmaninoff weaves chant-based melodies into a lush harmonic fabric in his hauntingly beautiful Vespers. The chorale presents this sonorous a capella work in Raleigh’s new, stunningly reverberant cathedral.
