News from Nurse Montgomery
The Baltimore County Health Department will be on site October 9th -12th to conduct hearing and vision screenings on 8th grade students and select students in 6th and 7th.
If your child wears glasses and is in a grade to be screened, be sure that they bring them to school on the days of screening. Notify Nurse Montgomery if you do not want your child to be screened.
Results of students who do not pass will be sent via U.S. mail or via students’ take-home folders along with instructions to follow-up with a health care provider for further evaluation.
Hearing and vision problems can interfere with learning if they are left untreated, so we highly encourage parents to consult with a health care provider if their child does not pass the screening. Parents will not receive notification if their child passes the screening. Please call Nurse Montgomery at 443-809-0168 or email LMontgomery@bcps.org if you have any questions.Vaping Dangers Information

PTSO
We are excited to announce an opportunity for you to get involved and make a positive impact on your child's education. We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic parent volunteers to join our Parent-Teacher-Student Organization (PTSO) team!
Our PTSO plays a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience of our students by organizing events, fundraisers, and initiatives that support our school's goals. We believe that when parents are actively engaged, it fosters a stronger sense of community and contributes to the overall success of our students.
Whether you have a little or a lot of time to spare, your involvement can make a significant difference. Here are some ways you can contribute:
Attend PTSO meetings to share your ideas and insights.
Volunteer at school events and fundraisers.
Join a committee to work on specific projects or initiatives.
Help coordinate and support school programs.
Advocate for the needs and interests of our students and parents.
By becoming a PTSO volunteer, you'll have the chance to connect with other parents, teachers, and students while making a positive impact on our school community. Together, we can create a nurturing and enriching environment for our children.
If you are interested in volunteering or have any questions, please contact us at MRMSPTO2@gmail.com. We welcome your involvement and look forward to working with you to make Middle River Middle School an even better place for our students.
Volunteers Make Fun Happen!
Our next PTSO meeting will be held virtually on 10/18/23 @7pm. Check your email and our Facebook page for the link.
