12.1 Describe correctional offices duties
2. The job as a correctional officer is to watch over inmates at all times
3. They also have to make sure everything is locked up appropriately
4. They have to escort prisoners to varies locations around the prison. The Gym, cafeteria etc.
5. They have the job to break up fights and protect them
6.The schedule of a correctional officers is you have to be ready 24/7 so you will find yourself working multiple shifts thought the day but in most cases you have 2 days off per week which is usually the weekend.

9. you can become a management position within the correctional officer field
10. correctional officers also can see any position that becomes available thought the prison
11. so if you would want to move to a different position in the prison you might be able to do so

13. Correctional officers usually pursue other law enforcement jobs
14. Officers sometimes have to search inmates or their cells or the whole cell block
15.If something serious happens you can send a prisoner to solitary confinement

2. Having a bunch of kids in a prison with grown men that are actual criminals isnt a good thing and im glad they did separate them

4. prior to the speperation juvinels were tried and convicted as adults
5. with having these young adults housed with adult criminals, law makers soon realized that these kids were learning adult criminal ways and applying them to a criminal career when they get older
6. this negative influence made law makers develop the seperation
7. when Juvenals were housed with other Juvenals they were taught life skills to apply to their life, not criminal activity
8. This separation improved a lot of Juvenals carers and lives
9.in 1944 there were only 78 Juvenal court systems in the US
10. in 2010 there was about 1,050 youth court programs in the US
11. about 42% of court systems in the us are Juvenal based

13. youth court programs are usually schools or nonprofit organizations
14. The primary function of youth court is to find a fair sentence for the youth defendant
