Weekly Family Newsletter - November 8, 2021
Week 13 Message from our Principal, Ms. Limon
Rogers Family,
Awesome job! We have been so pleasantly surprised by the great display of generosity our Eagles have shown with their donations to our food drive this first week. Thank you! We will continue to collect items up until November 19th. The food collected will be donated to the Dallas ISD Homeless Education Program to distribute to families in need across the district.
This week, Monday -Wednesday are regular uniform days. Thursday is Individual Picture Day so it will be a non-uniform day. Please help your students look their best for their pictures. Then, Friday is a Spirit Day. We sill have Spirit shirts for sale in the office if your child needs one.
Also, now that vaccines have been approved for children 5-11, DISD will be hosting vaccine clinics on November 20th at multiple locations. See the flyer further below or use this link for more info. Please continue to screen your students at home for COVID symptoms before sending them to school. If you have any questions, call our nurse, Ms. Herrington.
Let us know if we can support you in any way! We Are the Eagles, Watch Us Soar!

Let's Support our Teachers with a Rogers Amazon Wishlist!!!
As a learning community we want to make sure that our teachers, staff and students feel supported. This list is comprised of items that will do just that. Many items will be used in common spaces to support climate and culture, staff morale, aesthetics of the school or tools and supports for students. Often our teachers or staff members use their own funds to supply such items. It is a running list. Feel free to contribute at any time! As always, any donation is much appreciated!

We need your help for Carpool!
- Make sure to stay in your car while in carpool. If you anticipate needing to get out of your car, please park on Lovers Lane.
- Please be patient about waiting in the carpool line. If you are finding that you are usually in a hurry every morning, then we ask you to add time to your morning routines.
- For afternoons, be aware that the school day technically ends at 3:15. We begin the dismissal process a bit early to ensure that all students are out by 3:15 with the younger students coming out earlier than older students. If you are picking up 3rd-5th students, please come right at 3:15 to give the other parents of only younger kids time to get through. That way you won't hold up the line waiting for your child to come out.
- Skipping people in line is not appropriate. We are a team and we want to model for our students what it looks like to treat others with respect.
Thank you so much for your help! If we operate as a community we can keep everyone safe and keep carpool moving efficiently. Construction will last through winter break so we appreciate your mindfulness and support.
