The Book

City of Bones is one of my favorite books of all time. Without any spoilers, I will try to explain what it is about. The main character, Clary Fray, is a teenager that has a pretty normal life, until she sees things that others can't see. These people that she sees are called Shadowhunters. Shadowhunters hunt demons and kill them to protect the human race. That's their main priority. She sees Jace Wayland (another main character) kill what looks like a human, but is really a shapeshifting demon. She needs Jace in order to find one of her most loved ones;her mother. Jace and Clary go on an adventure to find her, and learn some interesting things along the way.

Why should you read City of Bones?

You should read City of Bones because it is a book that really opens your eyes to fantasy. It took the genre to new places, and is entertaining throughout the whole book. The next book in the series is City of Ashes.
