BISD Gymnastics news

week of Jan 10th

The booster club is asking for all eligible athletes to turn in $80 to cover meals that will be delivered before gymnastics meets.

These meals will be coordinated and delivered to athletes by parent volunteers. We will make sure that everything arrives on time as specified by the coaches.
Athletes are not to leave the gym before meets to get food. Parents have been responsible in the past for providing their own gymnast food. We are trying this to make it easier on everyone involved.
Meal cards are $80 for the entire season. You can turn in your money to the coaches. Cash or check are acceptable. Checks should be made out to BISD Gymnastics booster club. If you need to pay 1/2 now and 1/2 at mid season, that is perfectly acceptable.
Going forward, only students that have turned in money will have meals delivered by the booster club.
If you have any questions, or concerns, or would like to help with deliveries, please get in touch with Sarah Olvey

It is about that time to start checking grades again. The end of the six weeks if Friday Jan 15th, which means that eligibility will be checked on Jan 22nd. For some of our athletes this could mean there will be some changes. If your gymnast has been ineligible for the last three six weeks they could be in jeopardy of being removed from the team so that they can focus on their academics. If this is the case for your gymnast the coaches have probably already had a conversation with them. It also does not mean that we don't care about them or that we don't want them it just means that we are giving them a chance to take care of business. They are more than welcome to come back once they get their grades where they need to be.
