Our Mission Statement
"Sequiota is a school family of respectful, safe, and responsible learners growing together to build a positive community"
A Note from Mrs. Wagner
How is it already September? The first couple of weeks of school have flown by. Our teachers and students have been hard at work completing beginning of the year assessments, engaging in new learning, and most importantly building relationships with each other. My favorite moments have been popping into classrooms to observe the wonderful learning taking place and connecting with students during lunch. Thank you for sharing your precious kids with us.
Please read below for updates about School Picture Day, Open House, and many events from our PTA. Click on their newsletter link for all the details.

Conscious Discipline
Many of your children should be able to share with you what a star breath looks like. We teach the students to do the following during a star breath.
- Smile
- Take a deep breath
- and Relax
The video below shares how important it is for us as adults to remain composed or gain composure in order to help our students and children find their own composure as well.
You may find more information at https://consciousdiscipline.com/
- This is approach is both helpful at home and school.

Breakfast and Lunch Updates
Please refrain from sending soda and candy each day for lunch. We want to ensure our students have the best fuel for their afternoons. Healthier options like water/juice and fruit are suggested.
Free & Reduced Lunch Meal Applications can be completed online this year. Click this link to access the application. Even though breakfast and lunch are free this year, we encourage all families who may qualify to fill out the Free and Reduced lunch application.
