Week of November 10-16, 2019
A Note From Principal Madsen
Hello MHS -
We have a lot to be thankful for this week! We want to thank our community for supporting the bond that passed this week. The bond will provide improvements for Millennium that will impact every student. We look forward to improved safety and security, and a new gym. We will keep you posted as additional plans for improvements to MHS unfold.
I would like to stress this week the importance of dropping students off safely at school. We know that the front of the school gets very busy during pick up and drop off. To alleviate the traffic and expedite the drop off process, please consider using the baseball parking lot. The parking lot has an easy entrance and exit that keeps traffic moving. You can enter the lot from N Park Ave. Please see the picture below for additional directions. Most importantly, do not stop on the roads to drop off your student. It is very dangerous and we have had some near accidents with students jumping out of the cars while stopped on the road. Our student safety very important to us. Please help us in this process so we get students arriving to school safely.
Looking forward to another great week at MHS!
- Ms. Madsen

Bond Success - A Message From Dr. Runyan
We are happy to announce that with the support of our community the bond passed. The vote was 54% in favor. We will provide some additional information as we plan in the future. A list of approved projects is on the district web site located in the bond "fact" sheet that was shared with the public previously. We will have more to share down the road on this as the bond sales are implemented. This process is likely going to be recommended in at least two bond sale phases and the projects will be completed over a one to three year period depending on the timing of the board approval for each bond sale. Again, we will share as these projects come to life in the near future, and the timing and amount of sale does matter for market conditions when selling bonds. During our last two bonds in 2011 and 2015 projects were completed fully within a four year period after approval. Again, congratulations to everyone and the community for this opportunity and support of our schools and programs.
