Students in grade PreK-5 will perform in their annual Christmas program on December 15th, 2022. The performance will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 5:00 p.m. Students should arrive by 4:45 p.m. wearing their red or green Christmas best. Boys should wear a nice pair of dress pants with a dress shirt or polo. Girls can wear a dress, skirt, or a nice pant suit. All shoes should have a closed toe (no sandals) for your child’s safety. All dress down day rules apply. When you arrive, one parent should sign your child in with their teacher in the Cultural Center. Once your child is signed in, you can go and get a seat in the church for the performance. Please do not arrive earlier than 4:30 p.m.; the doors to the Cultural Center will not be open earlier than that. Please note:

All PreK students will meet in the church – not the Cultural Center.

Our middle schoolers will be taking their midterms starting on Wednesday! Please keep them in your prayers!

As we have entered Advent and are preparing for Christmas, we know many of you send in gifts for our staff. Over the years, many of you have asked members of the HSA how to find out about teacher preferences to help guide your holiday shopping. Should any of you want specific ideas for your child's teachers, the HSA has compiled a spreadsheet (see below to download) of teacher preferences that may assist you in your holiday shopping. Please know that your gifts are in no way expected, but always very much appreciated by the teachers and staff.

We have our Children's Mass every Tuesday at 9:40 AM in the school gymnasium. All parents are welcome to attend.

Our Pre-K and Kindergarten classes will begin attending our Children's Mass on January 10th.

The Diocese of St. Augustine has adopted a new mandatory safe environment program called the Circle of Grace. Depending on the grade level there are 1-4 lessons included in this program, which will be taught during your child's Religion classes within the next few weeks. Please read the attached information below for more details about the program.

As a reminder, 2 Lunch Duties (1 in the Fall and 1 in the Spring) and 2 Recess Duties (1 in the Fall and 1 in the Spring) are required of each family.

Anyone who tests positive must stay at home for 5 full days before returning to school on Day 6, provided that there has been no fever for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medicines and that other symptoms are improving. (Please note that the first day of symptoms is considered Day 0.)

Siblings of positive cases may continue coming to school as long as they are not exhibiting ANY symptoms. Please use good judgment when sending siblings to school based on the amount of exposure they have had with the positive sibling.

Join our high school youth night with your ugly sweater and a $5 gag gift as we have our Christmas party on Sunday Dec. 18th after the 5pm mass!! RSVP by Thursday, Dec. 15th using the link below or by going to the youth website. We will be doing a gag gift exchange, but you are not required to participate. If you would like to join, please bring a $5 gift already wrapped. If we do not have enough volunteers, we many need a parent to stay as a chaperone- or we will not be able to allow more youth to join due to safe environment reasons. If you are Virtus trained, and would like to volunteer with the ministry, please contact the youth office.
