A Note From the Principal
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We all know that student attendance is crucial to academic success. But did you know that students are considered chronically absent if they have missed 10% of school days? At this point in the school year, that is about 7 absences. We know that sicknesses and vacations are part of life, which is all the more reason to make sure your students are attending school whenever they are able! Please help your student succeed at school by prioritizing attendance! Thank you for your cooperation.
Thank you,
Mathew Prezioso
Principal, Munson Elementary

Infinite Campus Annual Update
The Annual Update must be completed by ALL Chardon Local Schools households every year, for every student, even if there are no changes. This ensures that you have created your Parent Portal Account so that we have the most accurate information for your student and household, so we may contact you promptly in case of an emergency. It also allows you to pay for student meals and school fees online, and gives you access to important forms and documents, including report cards. We need your updated information as soon as possible! Please find Annual Update instructions HERE.
Shout out to Mrs. Sobodosh and Mr. Buemi's classes for completing all of their Annual Updates! Mrs. McClintock and Mrs. Suszynski's classes each have only ONE left to complete! Mrs. Hardman, Mrs. Burress, and Mrs. Woodrow (2 left) are close behind, followed by...
Mrs. Ferguson, Mrs. Turk, Mrs. Dinko - 4
Mrs. Bates - 5
Mrs. Elliott - 9
If you are not sure if your Annual Update has been completed, please contact the office. Thanks!

Topper Trait of the Month
Huge thanks to all the Munson students and families who worked together to make this year's Penny Wars such a big success! It was exciting to see and hear teachers and students collaborating and strategizing on how to divide their donations to give their class the best chance to win! And in the end, EVERYONE is a winner because Munson will be making a big donation to help local veterans! Congratulations to Mrs. Ferguson's class for their victory, and thank you for your contributions!

Lost and Found
We have quite a collection of lost clothing, lunch boxes, water bottles, and more! Please ask your children to check the lost and found in the main hallway for any items that might belong to them. Also, please make sure to label ALL your student's items with their names so that we can help return them to their owners! Thank you!
Save the Date for Music Concerts!
Sing for Santa with the Cleveland Monsters!
Join Santa, Mrs. Puterbaugh, and the Cleveland Monsters for a fun and festive night! On Friday, December 15, local school choirs are invited to sing along to holiday songs during the 1st and 2nd intermissions of the Cleveland Monsters hockey game. Tickets are discounted for performers, friends, and family members. Tickets are purchased via SeatGeek online - DO NOT SEND MONEY TO SCHOOL. Please note, this event is NOT required and does NOT take the place of the 2nd and 3rd grade winter concert. See the flyer that went home with your student or click HERE for more information, and email Mrs. Puterbaugh at samantha.puterbaugh@chardonschools.org with any questions!
Chardon Goes to the Musicals!
Tickets make great gifts! Order now and your tickets will be here before the holidays. Chardon Goes to the Musicals is excited to announce ticket sales for Mrs. Doubtfire and Funny Girl. Money is due to Crescendo Club via Elizabeth Fullerman by November 28.
Cleveland's own Playhouse Square is the second-largest theater district outside of Broadway. Over the years, Chardon Goes to the Musicals has sold hundreds of tickets. As a reminder, this is not a fundraiser but simply a way for community members to obtain tickets at discounted prices.
