Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Head of Operations to organize and oversee the daily operations of our company. You will be the one to ensure that our business is well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and coaching its people.
The goal is to safeguard and augment the efficiency of the company’s operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success.
The Head of Operations will report directly to the CEO and share our passion for transforming how tech education is delivered. The Director of Operations will be responsible for all matters related to day-to-day management in the company, workflow, processes and business operations.
The ideal candidate will have a combination of operational know-how and strategic instinct. We are looking for someone with a unique blend of experience; someone who will roll up their sleeves and take ownership, who has demonstrated success in a leadership role, who has experience in creating and improving processes, who can create process requirements, who is technically-minded, and who can effectively communicate and be comfortable both in the training and corporate worlds.
Strong candidates will have a demonstrated record of success working in uncertain environments. This is a role that requires being able to balance macro and micro operations, multiple projects, priorities, and detail while cultivating trusted relationships within the company’s leadership and program managers.
Responsibilities:
· Liaise with CEO to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
· Plan and monitor the day-to-day of business to ensure smooth progress
· Supervise staff from different departments and provide constructive feedback
· Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
· Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation
· Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
· Review financial information with the company CFO and adjust operational budgets
· Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation
· Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
· Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations
· Manage the relationship with governmental partners and funders
· Requirements
· Proven experience as Head/Director of Operations or equivalent position
· Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
· Outstanding communication and people skills
· Knowledge of industry’s legal rules and guidelines
· In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (finance, training, customer service etc.)
· Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
· Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM)
· B.Sc./BA in business administration or relevant field; M.Sc./MA will be a plus
· Fluent in English - a must
