Social Emotional Learning
What we learned this week:
✔️Grammar - Students learned about comparative and superlative adjectives and adverbs.
✔️Writing - Students began writing Narrative Poems. Their published piece is going to be a picture book.
✔️Math - Mrs. Scott's math class completed their unit on converting measurement. They learned about converting customary units of weight, length, and capacity. They also learned about converting metric unit of length. Miss Seigel's class completed their unit on volume. They learned about finding the volume of rectangular prisms and combined prisms.
✔️In Science, students learned how to follow the scientific method and and practiced writing a hypothesis. They conducted an experiment where they added food dye to water to see if it would change the color of white carnations. Stay tuned for the results!
✔️In Social Studies, the students completed their Timeline Projects and Keynotes. They used AR Maker to create a augmented reality timeline of the events. The students also began their group project which is to write a song about an event that led to the Revolutionary War.
