SHISD Mid-Week Message
Promoting Great Things in a Great School District
Teacher Appreciation Week!
Teachers are real life superheroes. They educate, innovate, encourage and support. Every day they touch the lives of millions of children and their work and impact extends far beyond the boundaries of the classroom. Spring Hill ISD is no exception as we have some of the very best educators in the state of Texas. I would like to thank all of the teachers, administrators, nurses, counselors, custodial, food service, maintenance and all staff who work tirelessly everyday so that the students of Spring Hill ISD have the very best education opportunity in the state. I look forward to a good and memorable last month of school as we prepare all students for that next level and our seniors for graduation.
Kudos
From the American Heart Association:
- Spring Hill Intermediate helped to raise $23,334.50 this year. This set a new record for the most Spring Hill Intermediate has ever raised.
- Spring Hill Primary helped to raise $10,171.20. This is incredible!!
- Coach Peurifoy and Mrs. Julie Heflin combined will receive $1,500 to use to purchase new PE equipment for our school.
Thank you for your hard work and the dedication Spring Hill ISD has shown for the American Heart Association.
- Kudos to the SHHS Student Council. Through chocolate sales, they are donating $430.00 to Rapha House-house for child trafficking. -Denny Lind
- THANK YOU to Billy Miller for the spectacular display of roses and the newly planted flower bed at the admin building. It may be his green thumb or mother nature's water works that have produced so many blooms. The roses are a welcome addition to our front walk! - B. Shurbet

Spring Hill ISD Education Foundation Spring 2016 Grant Awards Total $26,671.88
District/Foundation Partnership for Technology - $12,000------This District grant will benefit and support all four campuses at SHISD with the district purchase of Chromebooks or iPads with carts for each campus.
“Learning in Living Color” - $1969
Having the ability of a 3D printer will give students and teachers alike the opportunity to explore items that were once only available in one dimension in a viable, touchable format. Replicating items such as tools, fossils and various other items in 3D opens up a new, exciting format for students to study and learn.
“Screen Shot for Success” - $1645
“No Classroom Left Behind” - $9860
Students can only learn when they comprehend or connect with the material. Visual presentations help the teacher to make that connection to the student, and in turn, help the student to comprehend. It is an integral part of the teaching process.
