Junior Ananya Sivashanker was recognized by Mr. Ryan Placek for turning in a lost phone that she found in the hallway!
Sophomore Caleb Shuman was recognized by Ms. Christina Preuss for befriending a new student. It was the student's first day and Caleb made a point to make his peer feel comfortable and welcome!
Sophomore Sachi Lele was recognized by Ms. Christie Rushenberg for being on time every day for the entire month!

Seniors submit your Senior Motto Idea!
Each year, a new senior class motto is selected that is a reflection of that group of students. Here at Millard North, the Senior Class Board presents motto options for you to vote on. Seniors go to your school email and fill out the Google Form provided by October 2nd.
You may also submit photos and videos of seniors at Millard North. From those submitted, some will be chosen for use in the Senior Class video and at the Senior Banquet.
Able to offer a ride?
We are also looking for a Mustang that could provide a ride home to a student that lives in the Wycliffe Neighborhood. If that happens to work for you, please see Ms. Therkelsen in the counseling office
Peer Tutors Needed
PSAT Registration Now Open
Registration is now open for the PSAT on October 16th, 2019.
Students can register in the counseling office.
There is a $25 fee for the test that must be paid at the time of registration.
There are a limited number of seats available.
Registration will close on October 9th or when all available seats are sold.
The PSAT is only offered once each year. There are no makeup test dates.

Girl Up - September 23rd
Girl Up will be hosting an introductory meeting on Monday, September 23 at 3:30 in Ms. Carlson's room 1635. Please join us for some food and learn about what Girl Up is all about!
Boys Soccer - September 23rd
Any boy interested in playing soccer this year please come to Mr. Hoover's room 2107 on Monday Sept. 23rd at 3:20pm. This meeting will last about 20 minutes and if you can't make it please let the coaches know and pick up a packet as soon as possible
Girls Track and Field - September 23rd
If you are interested in going out for the girls track and field program in the spring we will have a meeting on Monday September 23rd at 8:10am in the gym. Please bring your school laptop. If you can not attend the meeting see Coach Scheef and Coach Wright in the gym on Tuesday right after school.

Interact Club - September 25th
Interact Club is excited to announce a special speaker for the Wednesday, September 25th meeting. Feroz Mohmand and his wife were Afghan political figures that thwarted an attack on US Embassy personnel and had to flee the country. If you're interested in hearing his story, or in finding out more about Interact, please come to Lecture Hall A on Wednesday from 3:30-4:30.

Millard North S.A.D.D. - September 26th
Every day, 28 people die from drunk driving. That is 10,220 people a year!! Millard North S.A.D.D. is a students against drunk driving club that invites you to their meeting on Thursday September 26th at 3:30 in room 1643, to further discuss the meaning behind the club and further activities we have planned. There are many ways to get involved. Snacks will be provided! Can’t wait to see you THURSDAY, Sept. 26th at 3:30 in room 1643!
MNHS Swim & Dive Team Park Clean Up - September 28th
The Millard North Swim & Dive Team is sponsoring a Park Clean Up event on Saturday, September 28th at 12 pm. We will meet at entrance #4 by the picnic shelter with the staff from the City of Omaha. We'll be painting shelters, picking up litter, and more! Please tell your family and friends! If you have any questions, contact Coach Cunningham, Coach Brady, or Coach Weigel.

Homecoming-"Good Standing Policy"
Do you realize that Homecoming is only 3 weeks away! Are you ready Mustangs!?
Remember only students in good standing will be allowed to buy a ticket to Homecoming.
What is "good standing"?
~ passing at least 4 classes
~ absent less than 10% of the 38 school days before Homecoming
~ fewer than 10 total tardies
Also, if you are bringing a guest from another school you must fill out a guest request form and have it approved, signed and returned no later than Thursday, October 4th at 4pm.
Remember to keep in mind Mustangs -----If you're thinking about attending the homecoming of another school? The "Good Standing" policy for Homecoming and Prom also applies if you want to go to another school's dance. The MNHS administration will be checking grades and attendance to make sure you are in good standing before signing the paperwork for you to attend

Volunteers Needed For Montclair and Harvey Oaks Carnivals!
The Harvey Oaks Carnival is looking for volunteers for their annual fun night on Friday, October 4th. Volunteers will run carnival games for the school kids and their families to enjoy. Mustang Booster Club Craft Fair
Our Millard North Craft Fair will held at Millard North on Saturday, October 26th.
The Millard North Booster Club is looking for volunteers to help plan and execute the fall craft fair. They promise to make it as enjoyable and as fun of an experience as possible! All proceeds from the Craft Fair go directly back to student clubs, activities and sports.
