Don't be camera shy!
While we will not mandate that all students turn on their videos, we would like your support in encouraging your student to turn on their videos during class.
Teachers cannot get feedback on how your students are doing, whether they understand the materials, or if they are connecting with the information. They can use the virtual background feature on their Zoom account as long as the background is appropriate.
AP Spanish - Challenge Exam Opportunity
Does your student speak and write Spanish fluently or well? Is Spanish their first language? If so, Norwalk HS is offering an opportunity for students to take the AP Spanish Exam for Free! That's right, our school will pay the close to $100 exam fee to give our students a chance to earn College Credit. Students will need to attend an information session on 10/21 at 11:30am (parents are encouraged to join if they would like to as well).
At the meeting, students will be a give a pre assessment, information on how to have their test ordered, and information about the Saturday sessions Mr. Luis will be holding to prep students for the test.
Students who are encouraged to participate in this program are students who are in the ELD Program and/or Spanish is their primary language, students currently enrolled in Spanish 2 NS, and students currently enrolled in Spanish 3 who have teacher recommendation to advance.
See you at the information session!

Unity Day is 10/21
Link Crew would love to put together a little video of all of the different clubs, pathways, and sports on campus saying their name, the Club/sports name and how they support Unity Day.
This is a world wide event and we would love to show how Norwalk High unites for kindness, acceptance and inclusion of all students.
We are asking students and parents to:
Parents or students to create a short video clip and email it to me or send it to @lancerlinknhs on Instagram or email it to me eosongco@nlmusd.org.
For the video, we would LOVE for you or your member to Wear ORANGE or a shirt representing your graduating class, your family, or just YOU!
The script:
Hi I am ______________ and I am part of the (Club, sport, pathway) and we support Unity Day! Remember to be Kind! (Or any other nice advice that relates to Unity/kindness)
I hope to show off all of our amazing programs! I would need it by next Friday! The sooner the better! Thank you all again for the support!
