Outdoor play can be a wonderful way for kids to de-stress, give their eyes and brain a break from screens, get big energy out (without jumping on the couch) and to get dirty and creative in nature.

Nixie and Nimbo from The Child Mind Institute
The Child Mind Institute recently created a new cartoon series that helps children learn strategies for coping with stress and anxiety. The show is called Nixie and Nimbo. It's a 5 episode series of short videos that guide kids through strategies for self-awareness and teaches regulation strategies. Included is a parent guide that offers tips on how to support children experiencing anxiety.
