Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini

Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini was a leader of all conservative leaders and, a religious leader of Islamic Republic Iran. He worked to remove the Shah from power for his associations with the West. Ayatollah allowed Islamic revolutionaries to seize the U.S. embassy in Tehran and took 60 hostages in exchange to put the shah on trial.
