When? Thursday, Feb. 20. We will depart PMMS at 7:45 am and return to PMMS by 2:45 pm. Students should meet in the band room when they arrive to school.
Cost? The fee for the trip is $16. This includes student’s lunch on campus and the bus fee. This fee is on your child's Infinite Campus account.
Uniform? Band Polo Shirt, Black Pants, Black socks, Black shoes (wear to school... no time to change)
Lunch? We will eat buffet style lunch on campus at Esker Dining Hall (lots of options). NO extra money is needed on the trip.

Other: Students, you represent our school, program, and community. Your very best behavior is expected at all times. RESPECT – listen when adults are giving you directions, be a good audience for other performers. Most importantly, have fun and learn! This clinic will help us to get better as a band!
Still Need Chaperones! We are looking for adult chaperones to join us on this fun trip. Fill out this form if interested! https://forms.gle/xRihSyofQ5qJ5Pdi8
7th Grade Band To Create Connection With Students In Johannesburg, Africa
The 7th Grade Band will soon begin a "video pen pal" with a school in Johannesburg, Africa. The schools are nearly 9,000 miles apart. The 8 hour time difference prevents us from Skyping with them, but the video exchanges will allow for a form of dialogue. The goal of the project is to increase global competency and awareness. Mr. Gleason had the privilege to visit this school last year as an NEA Foundation Global Fellow visiting South Africa. Here is more information about the school in Africa:
The school was initially founded as the United Church School. It has since evolved into a multi-denominational and multi-cultural institution serving the growing urban community of Yeoville and its surrounding precincts. Under the leadership of its founders, Rev Adamson (retired), Ms Christia Rossouw (retired) and Ms Helenne Ulster (current school principal), UCS has become a benchmark of education for disadvantaged children in South Africa. Go to https://www.ucs.org.za/ to learn more!
Paint Nite! (For Band Parents/Guardians Only!)
Unleash your inner artist Join us as we raise glasses and funds for this worthy cause! When you buy a ticket to this event, $15 will be donated to the Band Boosters. To date, Yaymaker has helped raise over $3.5 million for those in need with lively creative events that feel more fun than philanthropic. Feel good about giving as our local artist guides you and your friends through two hours of painting and laughing ‘til your cheeks hurt. The best part? You don’t have to be an artist to have an amazing time. All proceeds will go to the Sun Prairie Band Booster general fund.
