Summer Updates 2015
Summer Camps and Summer Volunteering
This summer was an exciting one for the Prime Movers. This summer was jammed packed with volunteering at STEM camps hosted at TU and TCC as well as teaching a lab at the Discovery Lab Children's Museum here in Tulsa. Each of these programs taught groups of students from all over the Tulsa area about the importance of engineering in every day life. As well as showing off our creations such as our T-Shirt Cannon Robot, TR-1000 (pictured above). We want to thank the Tulsa Regional STEM Alliance for hosting the summer camps and asking us to be apart of these amazing camps. We look forward to doing more for the younger members in STEM.
Summer Meetings
Being out of school did not keep us from meeting and discussing how we can improve our team this year. In these meetings we discussed strategies on how to educate the incoming students on safety, robotics, and about FIRST. We also improved and repaired our robot in between every showing. We met every Saturday that were not spent at a summer camp or volunteering. A majority of the students could not make it but our A-Team was always there getting the jobs at hand done.
