Student Guide to MAP Testing
Northwood High School - Fall 2020
Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Fall 2020 Testing
Due to the emergency closure of school buildings this past spring, the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) requires all school districts to administer a fall diagnostic assessment in math and literacy to students in grades Kindergarten through 12. This year we will administer the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Growth assessment to give us valuable information on what you know to help us teach you better. We will be using the virtual MAP-R and MAP-M assessments, administered from your home on Zoom, starting on September 21st and ending on October 14th.
What tests will I be taking?
If you miss a testing day you will have the opportunity to make-up the test on a Wednesday or during advisory.
What classes will I test in?
You will take the MAP-M test in your math class. All Algebra 1, Geometry, and MAPS students will take their test during the week of September 29th. All Algebra 2, Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics and Quantitative Literacy students will take their tests during the week of October 5th.
