Personal Interview
Throughout the documentary US college girls talk about their stories in how they were sexually assaulted and their school would know but not do anything about it. The person committing all this trouble is actually a big star player on the team. Of course they are going to want to suspend one of the main ones in the team. Colleges want what makes them look good so they just ignore what happens. Girls try to get help and talk to counselors at the college but the make it seem like it's their fault why they got abused that way. They tell the girls that that happens due to the fact of what they are wearing and it is their fault because they were too drunk to remember what was going on, when that didn't happen. Guys would manipulate them into their dorm but since they are star athletes. And because it's the girls fault for all of this the school won't do anything about it.
Pathos
- College is a big part of everyone's life. It is something that determines how successful they'll be in their future. Many have so many dreams that about their college. And then there goes the time where they are just waiting to get their respond on the letters. The all get so excited about getting their letters back.
- Listening to the girls talk about their stories and how everything happened you can hear the depressing music in the background. Those stories are sad and the music goes along and set a tone for the audience.
- It was very heartbreaking watching the parents talk about how the story of their child being assaulted. Ever since elementary, schools are trusted by parents to take good care for them. School no matter what the level are suppose to be a safe environment. But how do parents suppose to trust the school if they don't even do anything about them being assaulted.
Statistics
- There has been so many college rape reports that out of 155 only 3 of those have been expelled.
- There is about 88% girl that don't report them getting abused when they should. They shouldn't be ashamed or anything. In my opinion it's better to speak up and to keep to yourself.
- It's crazy to see that more than 16% of women in college still get sexually abused.
