Wolverine News

October 25, 2021

Dear Families,

The Orient Parent Teacher Club is hosting a fundraiser at Chipotle Mexican Grill in Gresham tomorrow, Tuesday October 26 from 4 PM - 8 PM. A portion of the proceeds will directly support East Orient and West Orient schools. Come show your support for our teachers and students! Go Wolverines!

Important Reminders:

  • Student Arrival Time: Our arrival time for students has changed from 8:35 AM to 8:40 AM. Starting October 18th, students should not be dropped off at school prior to 8:40 AM. This also includes students who walk to school.
  • Student Pictures: Picture packets were sent home with students last Friday. If your student missed picture day, retakes are scheduled for November 12. Students can bring their order form and money with them on picture day or parents can order online from Lifetouch.

Again, thank you for partnering with us to help ensure a successful start to the school year.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, I can be reached via email at catanese@gresham.k12.or.us or via phone at 503-663-3323.

Go Wolverines!

Covid Notification Letters

If there is a positive case of Covid in our school, you will receive a notification letter sent via School Messenger indicating that there has been a confirmed positive Covid case in our school. This is just a notification. There is no further action needed on your part.

If your child was exposed or in close contact with someone with Covid while at school, your child may need to quarantine. Close contact is described as closer than 6 feet without a mask for 15 minutes or longer. If that is the case, you will receive a phone call and a separate letter with quarantine details and timelines.

As always, please feel free to contact the school office if you have any questions. 503-663-3323.
