Quote of the Week
President's Message
I ran across this quote, “Merry Monday and Happy New Week”. Simply said, be grateful for the opportunity to start a new day and for the opportunity to make a positive impact on others throughout the week. Stay the course. During this time of the year, it is easy to coast and start the count down to the end of the year. In fact, this is when our students and teachers should focus most. Our students have been testing over the past weeks and will continue through next week. LEAD! During this time our students need you more than ever. Help students understand that assessments are an opportunity opportunity to demonstrate learning. Students must know that they will be assessed throughout their lives, and doing so will impact their future. Ensure that students that are re-testing are in prescribe sessions that strengthen their individual needs. Be a Leader and Merry Monday and Happy New Week.
Happy Teacher's Appreciation Week
Celebrations are in Order!
Across FWISD and many of our surrounding districts we are seeing an increase in the achievement of the students on the 5th and 8th Grade STAAR exams. FWISD has seen an overall 9% increase from the previous year, with many of our elementary students not only approaching (passing ) the STAAAR to meeting the standard.
