Ellie Maas Davis, Founder of Pressque Publishing, Ghostwriter
Ellie Maas Davis is the founder of Pressque, a nine-year-old publishing consultation firm that offers editing, ghostwriting, and screenwriting services to authors and publishers, and cofounder of Authro, a web-based marketing company that designs book trailers and author websites. She has ghostwritten over twenty works of nonfiction, and is mentioned by name as the author of The Humours of Folly and coauthor of Shooter: A Woman’s Journey in Combat from Behind the Camera. A regular book reviewer for The Post and Courier, she is published in a number of anthologies, most recently, Seeking: Poetry and Prose Written in Response to Jonathan Green’s Painting. Her publishing houses, Oyster Point Press and Pressque Publishing, mostly focus on promoting South Carolina authors and stories that have originated in the South. Wendy Lamb is Vice President, and Publishing Director of Wendy Lamb Books, Random House Children’s Books Group. The imprint publishes titles for middle grade and young adult readers. Books she has edited have won many honors, including the Newbery Medal, Newbery Honor, the Michael L. Printz Award, Printz Honor,the Carnegie Medal,(UK) the Guardian Prize (UK) the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award, and Honor, the Coretta Scott King Award, and Honor, the Scott O’Dell Award, the Christopher Medal, and the Pura Belpre Award. Among the authors she has published are Christopher Paul Curtis, Peter Dickinson, Patricia Reilly Giff, Marthe Jocelyn, Walter Dean Myers, Donna Jo Napoli, Gary Paulsen, Dana Reinhardt, Rebecca Stead, Meg Rosoff, Graham Salisbury, Art Slade, and Elizabeth Winthrop. In l999 she won the LMP Award for Editorial Achievement in Children's Publishing.

About Annette
Annette Ross is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College where she concentrated her studies in religion and ethics. She was a visiting scholar at the Hastings Center for bioethics where she explored the broad subject of hope and medicine.
Her purpose with Common Ground is to ask questions, and to share, through thoughtful conversation, the aspects of humanity that so uniquely connect all of us. She is a happily married mother of five spirited young daughters.
