Principal's Message

Dear Parents,

Two more weeks until Spring Break! We have lots of activities happening between now and then. We were so pleased to see so many parents attend Math and Muffins! Thank you so much for supporting our school! It was a pleasure to walk through all the classrooms and see parents engaged with their children, and helping others as well! We hope you enjoy the math games that the teachers prepared for you to use at home with your child. We look forward to seeing you all in the next few weeks!

Run Big! Friday, March 31

Dear Parents -

We are thrilled to announce the return of Run BIG! this year. A long-standing tradition in the community that has been put on hold for the past few years due to the pandemic, RUN BIG! is the culmination and celebration of a month-long fundraising effort by the St Helena Public Schools Foundation and the Parent Teacher Groups to raise funds to enhance the education of our public school students in the area of arts and sciences.

If you're interested in helping with the logistics of the race throughout St. Helena, sign up to volunteer here:

If you would rather accompany your child's class to the High School, please contact their classroom teacher.

All students in the District will be running to the High School for an all-district event. We plan on leaving SHPS between 11:15-11:30am. We'll walk to the High School, run one lap around the track, grab a snack and water in the parking lot, and return to campus.

Since dismissal is at 12:15pm, students will not be eating lunch on campus. Students attending the Boys and Girls Club (at SHPS/SHES or Little BackPacks) will receive a sack lunch to eat there.

It's not too late to Give Big!

If you haven't had a chance to donate to Give BIG! as well. Donate now through March 24th to support our schools! http://www.givebigsthelena.org

New - Parent Computer Workspace at SHPS!

Parents, we have created a corner in our office for parents to come and use a computer for personal or school (child) use. We know that in order to access many programs for your children, you need to sign up online. You are welcome to use our new parent space to access the internet! We have a desk, computer, and supplies for you! You also have the opportunity to print things if necessary. If you need assistance signing your child up for a program, we can help you.

Collecting Toys for Día del Niño

If your house is anything like mine, you could probably collect 10-15 small toys that your children would never know were gone! We are collecting used, resuable small toys for our Day of the Chlid celebration in April. Lego sets, small stuffies, Happy Meal type toys, pencils, erasers, you name it! If your child once liked it, then others will too. Let's celebrate Earth Day as well as Day of the Child by rounding up small trinkets that can be passed on! Please send in your bag of goodies to your child's teacher or, if you'd like to be a little more sleuth, drop them off in the school office!
